Whey protein: what it is actually for
European regulation authorises a clear claim: protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass, and contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. You still have to eat enough of it. The usual recommendation for someone doing strength training is around 1.6 to 2 g of protein per kilo of body weight per day — a target that is hard to reach on solid food alone.
Concentrate and isolate
Our whey combines a whey protein concentrate and an isolate. The concentrate brings the taste and the texture, the isolate pushes the protein content up while cutting carbohydrates and fat. The result: 22.8 g of protein per serving for the chocolate version, 24 g for the vanilla, on a 30 g serving, with no added sugar.
When to drink it
After training, at breakfast or between two meals: what counts is the daily total, not a thirty-minute window. One serving in 250 ml of water or milk.
