Two directions in these new products: whey protein in the 1 kg format, chocolate and vanilla, and a series of capsule formulas around mood, stress, antioxidants and digestion.
Whey protein 1 kg
Concentrate and isolate combined: 22.8 g of protein per 30 g serving for the chocolate, 24 g for the vanilla, with no added sugar. European regulation authorises a clear claim here: protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass, and contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. For someone doing strength training, the usual recommendation is between 1.6 and 2 g of protein per kilo of body weight per day.
Antioxidants: what is authorised, and what is not
The claim "contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress" is authorised in the European Union only for a short list of nutrients: vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, zinc, copper, manganese and riboflavin. No plant extract is entitled to it, whatever you may read elsewhere. Our antioxidant formulas rest on the authorised nutrients and describe the plants without attributing an effect to them.
Plants and cultures: why we promise nothing
Turmeric and black pepper, spirulina and chlorella, probiotics: these ingredients have no authorised health claim in the EU, either because the evaluation is still pending or because it was rejected. So we give the exact composition, the dosages and, for the cultures, the strains and their deposit numbers — rather than a promise the regulation forbids us to make.
Mood and stress
The Mood and Anti-Stress complexes combine B-group vitamins, magnesium and plant extracts. Vitamins B6, B9 and B12 and magnesium contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue: those are the authorised claims that appear on the product pages. The plants alongside them are described, not praised.
